Most years, I take the opportunity to sneak away and have some time away from the kids – they are having a ball with their cousins anyway. To my husband’s horror, I have this stirling ability to find a High Tea establishment wherever we are. -
Darlinghurst’s Victoria Room
The Victoria Room in Darlinghurst is the most amazing experience – its totally like stepping back in time to the days of British empire. but believe it or not, this incredible looking place is a converted garage!
We had the nicest high tea here – not the least bit cheap, but worth every penny!

Traditional High Tea at Sir Stamford at Circular Quay
Last christmas, while visiting in family in Sydney, we snuck out and made a trip to town.
In between shopping, with a whole pile of bags between us, we managed to fit in a lovely high tea!
